Report due soon. Details…
Shaw Cup
John Ritchie remained in good form and emerged the winner by 3 points from Nigel Ward, Mike Rowe, Lia Donath, Gary Flounders and Kate Emanuel. Results…
Best ladies were Lia Donath and Kate Emanuel on 34 points – the former earning a sweep envelope.
With CSS computing to 34 (SSS 35), John’s handicap is cut by 2 – can he remain Top Dog leader?
Cognisant of the CONGU decision 2(c) to give sympathetic consideration for reasonable discontinuance of play, the organising Committee disregarded Toby Hunt’s card – though he was one of the 24 men’s NAPGC £2 entrants.
A promising card from Paul Doran (36 points) caught discerning eyes in the Handicap Secretary’s office and was promptly disqualified for signing for the wrong gross score on hole 17 (see attached scan) being an infraction of Rules 6-6d & 32-2 since the outcome affected the points awarded for the hole.
Coronation Cup
The clear winner by 3 shots was Darrin Siiankowski with a 65 from John Ritchie, Itsawat Mahdumwronkul, Johan Pieters, Matt Mandelbaum, John Cooper and Richard Owen. Kate Emanuel scored 66 but was DQ for omitting to sign her card. Accordingly, best placed lady was Alison Chadwick on 71. Results…
CSS was unchanged from SSS 68.
The competition doubled as the NAPGC medal qualifier with 30 men as indicated on the results electing to enter. It was also the first round for the Top Dog Trophy. R1 Leader board…

Skins
A skins format produced 5 different winners over the 18 holes of the Dukes course. A stableford score was used on each hole to determine the skin. Results…
Eleven holes not producing a skin were tied in 3 points, sometimes there were numerous 3 pointers and occasionally just two. One hole, the 12th, was tied in 4 points from both Lee Eden and Steve Cross.

Spring S’ford Rd 2 / Spring Meeting BB

Seven pairs of ladies took part in today’s 4 ball better ball. Despite a muddy start, the weather held up with a few glimpses of sunshine and did not deter the winning pair of Julie Smith and Gina Jillett who scored a whopping 43 stableford points. There was only a one point difference between the 2nd and 3rd place at 39 stableford and 38 stableford respectively. Results…
Thank you to everyone who made it a very special day – Jayne for purchasing the prizes and Julie for the cake.
