Autumn Mixed Foursomes
Shaun Feldon and Kate Emanuel won the scratch trophy on 81, four clear from Sheena Harrington and Michael Hansler. Shaun and Kate also won the net trophy with 70, two clear from Alison Chadwick and Jon Cooper. Results…
The final hole was memorable with 12 players teeing off Shaun flicked a little metal wood to leave Kate to tap in (4 feet) for birdie. Well done to Shaun and Kate for some splendid golf.
Diamond Jubilee
A fine 64 from in-form Tom Chase secured the trophy, four clear of Graeme Syme – both earning handicap reductions on a showery day. Best lady was Amy Rudolph with 73. Results…

Captains’ Day
Ladies
The ladies turned out in force to support the Lady Captain with one of the highest attendances so far this year and also received a gift, from Susan, of a ball marker and key ring.
The winner was Christina with a net 65 cutting her handicap by 3 shots to 30. Runner-up was Jini on a net 68, who also claimed one of the nearest the pin prizes. Gina won the other nearest the pin and Amy took the longest drive prize. Results…

Men
Winner of men’s Captain’s Day was Nathan Bower with a truly amazing 62 with neither a 6 nor a birdie. Hot on his heels just 3 behind with glorious 65s were Paul Patching and John Morris. Results…

Rickmansworth – Away Leg
Result: 6-0
Overall result: 8½-2½
Nurturing a slender 3½ to 2½ lead from the home leg it was decided to put out as strong a team as possible to see if we could gain the necessary 3-All draw or better at ‘Tricky Ricky’ to win the cup back. Not an easy task given the 6:0 drubbing we had received the previous year there.
After lots of telephone calls and cajoling a suitable team took shape and duly decamped to Ricky. The pairs were a strong mix of old heads who knew the course and young talent with handicaps sliding downwards. So confident was I that I told them this was the strongest team I can remember taking and that if we didn’t win this year we never would.
Some fine golf ensued with our top pairing picking up 46 stableford points in the sweep and our next pair a creditable 42. A great time was had by all and as always Rickmansworth treated us to some great hospitality and a filling meal afterwards.
Oh yes, and we lost. Six – nil.

We played the second leg of the annual friendly match against Mitcham Ladies at home and had a great result – 4-0. Results…
This year marked a special milestone in the history of the event as it was the 50th year. Results now stand at 23 wins to Richmond Park, 22 to Mitcham and 5 draws.
Mitcham Ladies – Home Leg
Result: 4-0
Overall result: 6-2
We played the second leg of the annual friendly match against Mitcham Ladies at home and had a great result – 4-0.
As always it was a really enjoyable day and there were some tight matches. Richmond Park therefore retain the trophy for 2011.

Hawtree – Team A Rd 2 v Farnham Park
Result: Win
The Club had a bye in the first round and played Farnham Park Golf Club at home in Round 2.
It was a clear win for the Club and we now go on to play Bird Hills away.
The team was Graham Syme & Jayne Maxwell, Jon Cooper & Kate Emanuel, Toby Hunt & Val Riziotis, Mike Rowe & Lia Donath plus Mike Smeal & Susan Smith.
