The snow & rain of the previous week lead to a non-qualifier with half of the holes having temporaries of interesting quality which served some of the ladies better than others. With Duke’s showing the effects of the flooding, conditions underfoot were very muddy, leading to the inevitable low scoring from the ladies. As a results it was a reduction only round, so no changes to handicap are recorded for the 9 ladies who played.

Ladies
The first ladies competition of 2013 was a team competition. 10 ladies in 5 teams of two played a game of two nines (best score on the front 9, both scores on the back nine). Conditions were very very muddy, lets hope they will improve!

It was a lovely day though rather soggy underfoot, 5 ladies were transformed into three teams of two (including a secret partner) taking part in a game of two nines (best score on the front nine and both scores on the back nine). Champagne Chase
Ladies
The completion of her stint as lady captain seemed to spur Susan Smith on as the winner of the Champagne Chase for the ladies. Conditions underfoot on Princes did not lead to great scores, and Susan took the champagne with 30 points. In second place was Fiona Coombe on 29, followed by Lia Donath with 27.
