2002 Spring Mixed Foursomes |

| On Saturday 27 April the 2002 Spring Mixed Foursomes
Competition took place. The tee time was 11:30 am. All games teed off on
time and the first game was finished just before 4 pm. Thankfully the
weather stayed dry throughout.
As usual for this competition, the entrants were paired by random draw. Gill Hibbs had been due to partner Jon Cooper but had hurt her shoulder in a skiing accident and couldn't make it. Cynthia King gamely stood in - and promptly stormed off with the winners prize! It proves one of two things: either it was an expensive injury for Gill, or at least one good thing came out of Gill's misfortune. Or maybe it just doesn't matter who Jon partners. Anyway, congratulations to the winners. Sandwiches were arranged for afterwards, 32 people stayed to enjoy the refreshments while the winners received their prizes and adulations.
