Richmond Park managed two wins for a score of 2-4 in the first leg and have just a two point deficit to make up in the second leg at home in August.

Martin & Arthur won their match 8/7 to the surprise and embarrassment of the Airlinks Captain who was on the receiving end of the thrashing. Now we know our Captain leads by example, let's see if the team can follow in the next leg.

Richmond Park staged a remarkable victory on the day to snatch the Trophy from Airlinks with an aggregate 6˝-5˝ score.

Captain of the day, Peter Harrington, was gushing about the outcome and had this to say about the match:

"Given that the opposition had already beaten our team 4-2 on the away leg, and given that 6 of the above were not members of the team as of early Friday evening, I think you can safely say the prognosis of a home victory was looking very doubtful, but that the final result with our team walking away with the trophy is even more remarkable than Rich Beem winning in the States."

Well done RPGC!

Jurek and Fiesal won the team sweep on the day with 47 Stableford points.
