2002 Club Rule - Joint Competitions

The Committee has decided that the maximum handicap allowance for ladies will be 36 where they are playing in a Club joint competition involving both the men and the ladies competing for the same trophy.

This rule is applied to a lady's playing handicap before any stroke allowance (for differences between the men's and ladies standard scratch scores) is applied.

Ladies with a handicap above 36 should reduce their handicap to 36 and then add or subtract the appropriate stroke allowance for the course and tee of the day (click for information on stroke allowance adjustments for joint competitions). This can result in playing off 35 or 40 in extremis.
