Sunday 25th May M Wright & T Wright W

This was a very close match played in good weather. One short shower couldn't stop the home club's progress with Tim & Pam Fox winning on the first extra hole to decide the whole match.

Huntswood were a very friendly team and were given shots in all five matches. Team A goes through to the second round.

Second round   Team A

Against Stockwood K Sargeant & J Smith L
At Stockwood Park, Luton T Fox & M Hood H
Saturday 21th June M Wright & T Wright L
  D Williams & M Slade L
  M Goldsworthy & C Goldsworthy L

Richmond Park clearly found this a difficult match against a team of low handicappers - all opponents were 10 or under. It was nonetheless a closer match than the score alone implies with two of the losses ending on the 18th one down.

First round   Team B
Result: Lost 3-2

Match Details Team B
Against Wexham Park J Cooper & S Harrington L
At Wexham Park J Bennett & J Oliver L
Sunday 25th May P Harrington & C Leftwich W
Hospitality - sandwiches after P Grand & C Woodhouse H
First tee time - 10:30 am T Meyer & D Dolby H

Team B lost in a close encounter with Wexham Park. Wexham Park is a relatively short course with a number of charismatic holes and greens in superb condition. It is ideal for mixed foursomes format. And on this occasion it was a little more ideal for the home team. Team B is eliminated in the first round.
