2004 Association Cup

2003 | 2005

The Association Cup is a club team event run by the Association of Richmond Park Golf Clubs (ARPGC).

Each of the participating clubs enters four players in teams of two. The format is a four-ball better-ball Stableford. The handicap allowance is ¾ of the playing handicap of each player.

The Association Cup is awarded to the club with the best aggregate score (of the two pairs). The trophy is presented to the winning team on the day of the event.

Additionally, the top two individual teams qualify their clubs as ARPGC's entries to the SCGU Kelso Hamilton Shield event for the following year.

Match Report

This year there were three clubs participating. It was Richmond Park pitched against Putney Park and White Lodge.

The conditions for the match were good, however with an 8:00am start it took a few holes for some of the pairings to find their rhythm.

Richmond Park was victorious, largely the result of a stunning performance from Ian and Geoff with 43 points (playing off 3/4 handicaps). See the box right for the details.

This result means that both Richmond Park and White Lodge will represent the Association in the SCGU Kelso Hamilton competition in 2005.
