Ladies SPRING Weekend Away - Report

Many thanks to Julie for organising another successful weekend away. For this year’s Spring weekend away, we went to Hellidon Lakes which turned out to be an extremely challenging course that one questions whether it should have been called Hellidon Hills.
The practice round on Friday saw 8 ladies and 11 men struggle to score points against windy conditions as well as sporadic and at times driving rain.
The weather improved immensely as the weekend progressed with numerous glimpses of sunshine as did the performance of the 24 golfers that competed on Saturday and Sunday.
Some of the fairways were a bit muddy and the greens were tricky with lots of undulations. Anne and Nick proved that they were up for the challenge of the course, both scoring a whopping 40 stableford points each on Saturday. Both Di and Nick scored consistently well over the weekend, scooping the major prizes.
