Four-ball Better-ball - Team Matchplay

The Ladies and Men play an annual friendly match against Amida Golf Club.  Each match is three games of doubles 4-ball better-ball match play.

The venue alternates annually home and away. The inaugural match was in 2007.

The Captains post a notice on the Club notice board for those wishing to sign up. Alternatively, you can contact the Lady Captain or Men's Captain directly to register your interest in playing.

Men's Better-ball Stableford - Club Team Score

Open to the member clubs of the Association of Richmond Park Golf Clubs (ARPGC).

Each of the participating clubs enters four players in teams of two. The format is a four-ball better-ball Stableford. The handicap allowance is ¾ of the playing handicap of each player.

The Association Cup is awarded to the club with the best aggregate score (of the two pairs). The trophy is presented to the winning team on the day of the event.

Additionally, the top two individual teams qualify their clubs as ARPGC's entries to the SCGU Kelso Hamilton Shield event for the following year.

Men's Greensomes - Club Team Knock Out

Four pairs per team playing stableford greensomes. Two pairs play at home and two pairs play away. The stroke allowance is as per CONGU recommendations - lower handicap x 0.6 plus higher handicap x 0.4.

There will be a MAXIMUM of eight areas with ALL area winners going to the National Final. More from NAPGC...

Men's Strokeplay - Club Team Score

Open to the member clubs of the Association of Richmond Park Golf Clubs (ARPGC).

Each of the participating clubs enters four players. The format is stroke play with a full handicap allowance. The lowest aggregate of the combined four scores is the winning team.

The Keys Trophy is a large shield which is engraved with the winning team’s name. The trophy is presented to the winning team on the day of the event.

The Keys Trophy is normally played on a Saturday and it is the responsibility of the holders to organise the next event.

The winning club and the runners-up are the ARPGC's two automatic entries for the SCGU Surrey Fives event for the succeeding year.

Four Mixed Pairs playing 18 holes Greensomes Stableford

Please note the format for this competition has been revised for 2014.

A club team will comprise four mixed pairs. All pairs to play 18 holes Greensomes Stableford. Two pairs will play at home and two pairs will play away and the team score is the aggregate of the home and away points. Whilst it is normally expected that the match will be arranged to be played at both venues on the same day, matches may be played on different days and tee times may vary at each venue.

There are four Areas with Area winners meeting at the National Final. More from NAPGC...

The Ladies Section plays a friendly match against Mitcham Golf Club every year consisting of separate home and away legs. Each leg is four games of doubles 4-ball better-ball match play. The overall winner of the two matches claims the Mitcham ~ RPGC trophy for the year.

Ladies Singles - Club Team Matchplay Knockout

Teams will be four ladies with two playing at home and two away playing individual stableford; each pair playing at home and away will aggregate their scores and if higher than their opponents on the day will score one point. In the event of a tie, the winner will be the team with the higher aggregate number of stableford points; Ties shall be decided by computation of the points scored on the last 9, 6, 3 or 1 hole(s) as necessary. If this does not achieve a winner the match shall be replayed within 14 days except at the National Finals when the trophies will be shared.
