The ladies invite was played on a not so sunny and warm Bank Holiday Saturday, which was a great combination of events that led to a round of just over 4 hours. Despite this relatively fast paced round, it didn't seem to help! None of the scoring was particularly high, probably due to the rather penal rough, and a large percentage of the 10 games came in with 30/31 points.

However, the winning combination of Pia Langeland and Bruce Cuff made 36 points followed by Cheryl Woodhouse & Paul Grand on 34 points. Nearest the pins were won by Cheryl Woodhouse and Jini Beacham for the ladies and Ian Smith took home the sparkling wine for both holes for the men. It was also good to see some new faces amongst the invitees.

After the event Cheryl, Julie and Sheena provided some well received refreshments. Cheryl providing the savoury and Julie, one of her, what are fast becoming legendary, cakes. There was, needless to say, not much left to clear away at the end. Sheena stuck to the usual alcohol provisions!

Bruce, playing in his first ladies invitation with the club, paid tribute to his partner, and all the shots that her handicap provided, in helping with their success and thanked the ladies for staging a very enjoyable event.
