The winner of the overall Ladies competition and the Gill Hibbs Trophy is Fiona Coombs.

This year 24 of us went to St Pierre near Chepstow. We had a bit of rain, but also loads of sunshine and lovely views. Both courses were great to play, the Old Course was super long and the Matfen was tricky.

The winner of the ladies 36 hole competition and the Gill Hibbs Trophy was Fiona Coombe with a grand total of 72 points including a stonking 41 points on the second day. Second was Veronica Mitchell also on 72 points but pipped of course on the second day. Third was Val Riziotis with 71 points.

The men's winner was Jon Cooper, second was Richard Owen and third was Peter Osgood.

A big thank you to Veronica who organised our stay and the games order and managed to secure loads of prize money that was used not only to cover a number of bottles of alcohol to present to the winners but also wine to go with dinner on Saturday night and a healthy tip for the hotel staff. We thanked Ronnie in the traditional way but who gave her the banana??
