North Downs GC Away day - Report
24 October
The weather was atrocious with strong winds and driving rain for most
of the day. 25 members and guests braved the conditions with everyone
completing the full 27 holes, which in the circumstances was no mean feat.
Nine holes were played in the morning, for a team prize, which was won
by Tracy Wright, Martin Wright, Pat King and Tony Archdale.
The 18 hole afternoon winner was Mark Katz (guest) with 35 points, who
just beat Martin Wright on the back 9. Peter Cunningham came 3rd on 34
points.
Closest the pin prizes were won by Chris Neary (guest), Mark Katz
(guest) and Geoff Foreman (granddad).
The longest drive was won by Tracy Wright, the ladies had a massive
advantage on that tee !!

The prizes were presented by our club captain David Marsh who also
presented Tracy with a bottle of bubbly on her birthday.
Tracy doesn't want us to disclose her age so we won't. Just to say it would have been a coincidence had she scored 40 points !!!!
